COULD YOU TELL US A LITTLE MORE ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION, YOUR BACKGROUND? I BELIEVE YOU WERE BORN IN FRANCE?
Aissa Hamada: I grew up in France and did most of my studies in France and Algeria.
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?
Aissa Hamada: I am Algerian and more precisely, I am from Oran, where I did part of my studies.
DIDN’T YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE REALLY START WITH YOUR ENTRY INTO THE “FORESTRY LABORATORY” (WHICH NO LONGER EXISTS TODAY), WHICH GAVE YOU THE MISSION TO DEVELOP THE ALGERIAN MARKET?
Aissa Hamada: Indeed, I was hired by this large laboratory equipment manufacturer to follow the good progress of a business that it had won in Algeria. This deal went so well that Forestier was awarded other important contracts in this country. It was this experience that gave me a taste for business.
HAVE YOU HAD ANY OTHER SIGNIFICANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL US ABOUT?
Aissa Hamada: Yes, I had two very important experiences: Bouygues and Dassault Aviation.
WHAT IS YOUR MAIN ACTIVITY IN THE BUSINESS TODAY?
Aissa Hamada: I am mainly involved in “energy management”: transport, storage, sale and purchase of oil products. But also the treatment of household and industrial waste. Finally, I also deal with real estate promotions in the Maghreb.
YOU TALKED TO ME ABOUT RELAUNCHING A “CHCOUNE” MAGAZINE, CAN YOU TELL US A BIT MORE ABOUT IT?
Aissa Hamada: Chcoune is a Mediterranean people magazine, which we have been working on for 5 years. It will finally hit the newsstands in early 2018. Topics such as: fashion, travel, people will be covered every month.
ONE LAST QUESTION, WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELAX AND UNWIND FROM YOUR MANY ACTIVITIES? DO YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR SPORT OR HOBBY?
Aissa Hamada: To relax I particularly enjoy hiking in the mountains, with a preference for the Alps. As a music lover, I like to listen to raï and classical music.
